Your principal responsibilities will be for Änge and Kaxås Schools F-6, both with associated after-school care. In total, this includes about 180 students. We place great importance on the work surrounding safety and well-being where values-based work is highly prioritized. The work environment in the schools is characterized by a climate where we care for each other.

You will have close teamwork with your principal colleague who is responsible for Änge School 7-9.

The Department of Education has about 800 employees. The department's activities extend across the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school F-9, adapted primary school, after-school care, food and cleaning services, mother tongue, and library services.

A Day as Principal in Krokom Municipality

The principal leads the educational activities and works independently with the units you are responsible for, also in team collaboration with other principals in the school area. The assignment involves working strategically to implement the goals in the preschool curriculum and the municipal decisions made by the Education Committee regarding preschool and school activities. Together with the staff, you focus on the overall goals of the Department of Education; to provide all students with a school experience characterized by equity, knowledge, and safety.

Through your pedagogical leadership, you will enable students' education based on the child's best interests, so that lifelong learning has the opportunity to grow. As a principal, you have overall responsibility for the staff's work environment, budget, and the quality of education. Dialogue, a focus on development, and safety are important abilities in your leadership to achieve the goals both in the curriculum and in the municipality's overall goals for the school.

Your Competence

As a principal in our municipality, we want you to have:

• basic pedagogical insight through pedagogical education and experience (as regulated by the Education Act)
• experience and education in leadership and personnel management
• a driver's license for a car

Meritorious for the principal role is that you have:

• previous experience of leading schools and after-school care
• completed or started state principal training (if you lack this education, it will need to be completed within the framework of the position and must be finalized no later than four years after starting employment)
